FOUNDER, PRESIDENT
Armando Torres
My connection to the maritime industry began with my grandfather, who started working in the ports in 1974. I grew up in the harbor environment from infancy—tying up vessels and observing daily maritime operations in the Bay of San Juan. From an early age, I dreamed of working here and always said I wanted to become a captain and pilot of a service boat. Today, I am proud to hold a 200-ton license and actively serve as a captain.
Over the years, I witnessed the evolution of our family business, gaining valuable insight and experience along the way. In 2011, the responsibility was entrusted to me as the third generation, marking the beginning of a new chapter. Transforming the company into what AT Maritime Supply is today has been a journey defined by dedication, sacrifice, and immense pride. None of this would have been possible without the essential support of my wife, who has been a fundamental part of this project.
OPERATIONAL MANAGER
Edwin Montalvo
My interest in ships—especially cruise vessels—is what first led me to Armando and the work he was doing. After meeting him in person, I reached out months later and began working part-time with the company during the summer of 2019.
After nearly five years of tying up vessels and assisting with launch services, Armando approached me with the idea of joining the company full-time to help manage operations alongside him. I officially transitioned to full-time in September 2014, leaving behind a 17-year career in banking to fully commit to the maritime industry.
VICE PRESIDENT
Maria Cristina Rosa
I began working in the maritime industry in 2018 as an accountant, and since then I have been responsible for the company’s accounting, billing, and customer service operations. My experience allowed me to identify new service opportunities beyond vessel mooring. Together with Armando, we expanded AT Maritime Supply’s offerings to better support the needs of both agencies and the vessels that call on our ports.
I am proud to be part of this industry and, even more so, of a company that has grown through effort, passion, and dedication. Being part of this evolution has been both rewarding and inspiring.
